No argument about Tiffany. I just admire all that gets done in The Last Hero. Highlighting how the Disc has evolved, the raging against the unfairness of death, rocket wizardry, the endlessly enjoyable notes of Leonard's. It's very efficient.

Atomic Robo! If you've never read it, then I envy you. I wish I could read it again for the first time. Also, the tv show About a Boy which has surprised me with how funny and charming it is.

Indeed. I couldn't pick a favourite out of that list, but The Last Hero accomplishes a lot in a very short book. It is, I think, a highlight of the series.

Through the break I managed to finish The Fifth Elephant, The Truth, Thief of Time, The Last Hero, The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents, Night Watch and The Wee Free Men. Now starting Monstrous Regiment

Good point. It may not be the most complex book, but it does add significantly to the Disc.

Some Pratchett novels are rich, with examinations of complex real-world subjects. Others are just pun fests and gags. Moving Pictures is definitely the latter type.
