A friend of mine performs a small role on this show. One of the named ensigns, although I forget which one. It's pretty good. Very in keeping with the original.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy these recaps everyday. Keep up the good work!
I bought Y in trades, for all the reasons one buys trades over individual comics. But I could have bought Y off the rack and I really don't want to be regretting that decision. Still, I have a full run of Preacher, so here's hoping that show takes off in a big way.
I could go hunting for a copy, but it's over ten years old and already costs a couple of hundred. This announcement will only push up prices. Oh why didn't I feverishly speculate as a younger man?! Why couldn't I see the future?!
I didn't think so either until The Walking Dead proved me wrong.
Goddamnit! This ones going to be super popular and the comics going to be worth thousands and I'll be kicking myself again for not buying it when I had the chance! Damn you culture!!!!!
Yes. Exactly. Your description really took me back to childhood, thank you.
There's a terrible version on Youtube too. I don't think 1978 T.V. specials should be seen in high quality anyway.
Yeah, I remember it. I think it was a Canadian production because I recall it being on every year. There's a commenter on here with a Bazooie avatar as well.
My GF won't drive on highways for exactly that reason.
I don't drive and my GF uses an autoshare whenever she needs one. It does get expensive though. Trips add up quick.
Fortunately, my grocery store is close enough to make walking there feasible. And while hauling groceries home can be tiring, I try to look upon it as an opportunity for exercise. I try not to buy large items, but many places will deliver.
I'm thirty seven and still don't have a license. Mind you, I live in a city with relatively great public transit.
Another one knocked out of the park. This feature continues to be excellent. Well done Mr. Harris.
Vaughn and Chiang? Might have to give Paper Girls a look.
The shallowness of the characters and the obsession with music (which I've never really understood in the real world either) is what turned me off this book. Hearing the creators talk about exactly that kinda makes me want to take another look at it.
Geez. Take it easy on a guy. My heart can't take it.
Pepe is a King Prawn
What, seriously?! How is that supposed to work? Also, I thought Marvel didn't own the rights to Rom.
You may be joking, but I would love a ROM movie. I can so easily imagine a scene of a faceless alien robot crash landing in a small U.S. town and immediately start seemingly vaporizing innocent people. By keeping ROM's motives dark one could make an awesome film about paranoia and invasion.
