Oooo, now I wanna watch Best of the Best.

He meant "beach".

I picked it for worst!

Didn't the AV Club pick it as their best film of the aughts, even?

And the dad from Revenge of the Nerds.

Hanson gave us one of the best films ever made, and DePalma with Black Dahlia gave us one of the worst. Who will adapt White Jazz or The Big Nowhere?

Yep, and agreed!

That moment in LA Confidential during the scene when Exley goes to Vincennes to convince him to join up (which starts with the great "Why did you become a cop?" "I don't remember.") and then
Jack Vincennes: What do you want, Exley?
Ed Exley: I just wanna solve this thing.
Jack Vincennes: The Nite Owl *was* solved.
Ed

He has since disowned it.

Ellroy loved the work that Hanson did in cutting it down into a workable screenplay.

Amazing film, and Exotica might be even better. Then he stopped trying.

Critics often pick Hard Target as JCVD's best film because of the Woo-age, even though it isn't.

I guess I did see The Black Hole before Alligator, but all I can remember is that scary robot.

That one screams of "hey, look what I watched!"

If Face/Off had been released exactly as it was, just with John Woo changed to "John Wood" in the opening credits, critics would NOT have gushed over it.

Astronomical.

It is a good movie, but it does get a bit over-praised by critics trying to prove they got the satire that the rubes didn't.

Whatever you desire.

If you mean Cure by Kurosawa, then yes. Good film.

Terrible year for horror films.
