I'm just surprised it's halfway through the season and he's yet to make an on-camera appearance. I didn't expect him to act as a de-facto cast member, but thought he'd reprise an old role by now. We'll see what happens the next time there's a big Donald Trump or Bill Clinton story.

I read this site, so I know that Serial is a thing, but as a person not so dead inside as to listen to an npr podcast, I have no idea exactly what the parody was supposed to be and assume the same holds true for far too much of the audience to justify putting the piece on air.

I thought Che was awful his first week but he's gotten better—not great but better (it says something that my only real problem this week was incorrectly pronouncing "sedative").

Well, that's certainly nothing anyone was asking for.

Has Dan Abrams ever lasted in a broadcast job? He seems to get replaced a lot.

I saw it in the TV listings maybe five years ago on some obscure left of the dial cable channel and was surprised to remember then that it had once existed. For a show that had a decent run-length (five or six years I'm guessing) and was a hit within the last fifteen years to disappear completely is remarkable.

It's A Wonderful Life is a great movie about suicide.

Wells' War of the Worlds. It's not bad, but it suffers from the era in which it was written (much like any other Wells I've read). He can tell a good story, but I'm not a big fan of his style.

The largest problem with All the President's Men is that it was rushed to print to capitalize on events rather than being allowed to really see them out to offer a better view of the larger picture. Although it would be good for a contemporary audience, I would think for modern readers it would better serve as a

The Fear was such a lazy episode in my view. It's not exactly a bad episode, but coming at the end of the series, it just seemed like everything in it was just a rehash of what we'd already seen. It's probably the most by-the-numbers show the series produced.

I'm also guessing Gary Busey doesn't know Gary Busey played Buddy Holly in a film released in 1978.

That cat looks more "forlorn" than "grumpy".

Football cream?

Reading this, I was thinking, "Oh my god it's gonna be the fucking Spice Girls."

Ooh . . . I bet that cuts like a knife.

How did it feel to watch Gotham-Riddler give Gordon a hug at the end there?

Mr. Freeze - "Cold as Ice" by Foreigner

Oddly it was the song "New York" (specifically as in Dolls). I just assumed Gotham was a stand-in in a universe where New York doesn't exist. We're through the looking glass here people.

I think you should too.

They just don't seem to have time for them anymore. Usually when they throw one in, it's widely underdeveloped and just feels like its diverting from the main plot unnecessarily, even when it's the more interesting of the two.
