I 100% agree agree about Mark Sheppard.  I can't think of anyone else playing the role any better.  And I liked Mark Sheppard in BsG, Firefly, and Dr. Who, so I don't know what his beef is.

One of the many reasons I like this show is how well it seems structured and timed out.  Most of the shows I can recall all end with Ben doing a long seeming improvised bit that runs under the credits and they just manage to fit in and end on a laugh.  It just smacks of good work all around.

The whole game of chicken concerning the gyno exam was funny and well written.  It had a great back and forth pace that kept it on the right side of funny.

I thought this episode was funnier than the reviewer apparently.  I mostly loved the little surreal bits like Louise/Wolverine and Gene falling for the horny manatee puppet (Conan reference intended).

This may be the first time I've noticed it but the music on Homeland is really great.  The foreboding but propulsive music underneath all the tailor shop scenes were great.  It reminded me of the great music in Soderbergh's "Traffic".
