Author, you are giving a witless hack like Kurt Sutter WAAAAAAYYYYYY too much credit for being "other than witless hack."

Worst moment? When we hit double-digits on "gratuitous prison rape scenes," possibly?
I think the CIA/Cartel bullshit was a turning point. At least insomuch as it seemed to set off this unending cycle of "Brown controls guns. Black controls heroin. Cerulean Blue has got a grip on the counterfeit iPad trade, but purple wants a piece of that."
I'd like to make a movie with Duck in it so I can have him recapitulate the single greatest come-on line in all of history - him telling Peggy he was going to take her in the bedroom and give her "a going around" like she has never gotten before.
I still can't decide if this show sometimes seems trite and cliched due to weak writing or due to exceptionally nuanced and intelligent writing reflective of the narrative construction (i.e. we generally remember things with a lot of the actual subtleties of life bled out of them.)
Libby? Who is this Libby of whom you speak? Please mansplain it to me, Aaron.
So Lockhart is officially the worst CIA director ever, then. "Oh no, that fit young agent might get knifed! Let's just open the vault and give away the fucking store!"
Fuck you Sorkin. Just go away.
Yes that's a good observation. I hadn't made that connection. Probably because of how awesome that last Shield season was. And how utterly dreadful this show has been for about 4 years now.
The difference being that in the Shane arc on the Shield that fucking worked like crazy.
Good point. Other than Sutter, for whom it was undoubtedly a lot of fun.
I noticed that myself - he did okay early in the series but his (mostly) NE English accent comes through all the time this year. I hear it all the time in him (I am from not tremendously far from where he grew up.)
I wish I could upvote that comment a thousand times!
Oh, and if Jax really has been greenlit by the remaining club presidents it probably qualifies as "most overdue vote for Mayhem" this side of the one the surviving Jacobins implemented against Robespierre on 10 Thermidor, Year II.
I think it would be actually awesome if one could edit in a grotesque, 1980s sitcom-style laugh track to this show. And then activate said track every time something intended to be shocking/emotional/disturbing.
FFS I'm an atheist and I think their depiction of Carver as a priest is idiotic. See, he's a PRIEST and so has to be infantile, a complete and utter imbecile, and basically walking zombie bait.
An aptly-titled episode, as I have nothing but contempt for it and for Aaron Sorkin.
With making Carver such an abject fanny and caricature of a 1980's TV show priest, I suppose we need to hold out hope for Marlo Stanfield to be intro'd as a stone cold, competent badass.
Ehhhh…. I'm not slating your point here by any means, but I find roughly everything said on these channels to be at too high a level for people who don't know what they are doing yet far too low a level for those who do.
None of those channels offer anything of actual value. And I am saying this as one who is in the finance industry.
