Prezbo as Elliot Ness? I'm in! Brings Wire alum count that I can immediately think of to three in the current cast.

I really like this show in general and will miss it if FX pulls the plug. (And it sounds like that may happen due to the ratings.)

I can't believe I actually used to LIKE this show. It really was pretty decent in the first season or two.

And add to Sutter's go-to repertoire: man on man sex/rape played for shock/disturbing value.

Well this link does not seem to have been updated since last night, but you can tally it up from here

A DREAM SEQUENCE!?!?!?!

DON'T cry for Annabeth? I'd cry for anybody forced to be on what Sons of Anarchy has turned into. In in for that show for the final season, of course, but only out of a sense of completism or some such.

Well also lets her hop off into the desert while digging the grave. Yeah she's not going to get far, but by letting her get any distance that is how far you are going to have to drag a dead/carry a live protesting woman.

That's kind of interesting - I was wondering what the show was going to do to deal with the fact that it is caught up on Martin in a number of cases.

This show made it SEVEN seasons?

The Rush scene might have been a sly homage to one of my favourite (unappreciated) movies of all time - SLC Punk!

To be fair, Sonya can write a decent review when not copying/pasting the relevant parts of her essay from the "Diversity Awareness 620" course she took at Bowdoin.

And the extra 40 minutes of running time past that to boot.

Am I supposed to care that the cop is going crazy? Come to think of it actually I do - to the extent that it might make him less one-note and uninteresting.

Not just you. Hadn't made that mental connection, but yeah.

"every character like a caricature of an emo tween" - hah! Too true!

Thanks for your posts Douglas. I bet you knew my dad back in those days. Well maybe not, as IBM was a rather huge enterprise. But if you ever ran across an alcoholic Brit in a decently high position there then that very likely would have been him.

This.

Donna was quality in every way. Plus, wow, the outfit and hairstyle for the launch party.

Thanks for your reviews, Dennis. I probably liked this show (at times) more than you but agree wholeheartedly about this finale. Your reviews were always worth reading.
