I think we can all agree that once Legolas used an orc's shield as a skateboard in the Two Towers film, Tolkien's legacy was well and truly dead.

Oh, that's right.  Well, Wally needs to tell somebody . . .

Enjoyed this episode, but I’m getting a little sick of those inhibitor collars showing up from time to time. They just seem a little too convenient to me, since they will apparently completely de-power anyone. Wouldn’t all villains (and heroes) just carry around a big duffle bag full of those?

I don't know about imposing or 'mountain of flesh.'  The guy is like 5' 10''.

In all seriousness, I think there was briefly a restaurant up there, but now it’s just a closed-off observation deck kind of thing that can be rented out for weddings and events. I’ve never been up there.

As a native of Knoxville, TN, I disagree.  That episode is awesome.  To this day, I delight in informing people that the Sun Sphere is in fact very real, though sadly not filled with wigs (that I know of).

I saw The Mummy in theaters when it came out in 1999 and I haven't seen it since.  My only real memory of the experience is that I couldn't believe how beautiful Rachel Weisz was.  Otherwise, I'm a little foggy on plot details.  I think there was a Mummy in it?  Maybe Brendan Frasier before Hollywood replaced him with

Ugh, I’m sorry, but this looks so cloying and horrible. This looks like one of those movies where lots of BIG IMPORTANT THINGS happens to someone in high school. When I was in high school, absolutely freaking nothing happened to me. I went to school, studied, watched tons of TV, bagged groceries, went to movies

Still confused by how this is going to be three movies.  There is only so much plot in The Hobbit.

So, really, really honest question.  I'm actually asking.  Is the book worth reading?  People tend to hate Ayn Rand or love her, so it's hard to get an honest opinion of it just as a book.  Politics aside, is it any good?  Just as a piece of literature?

I watched reruns of this when I was a little kid, and I don’t think I completely got it was supposed to be silly and funny. There’s an episode in which Catwoman straps Batgirl to a conveyer belt with a saw at one end, and I remember being VERY concerned. Of course, I probably just had a crush on Yvonne Craig. In
