We're the same age, Haysoos. My first exposure to the film was opening weekend, when I was 12. My poor mother escorted me and two friends. So Beautiful and So Dangerous was a high point of the magazine run, and the translation to film as far as the backdrop paintings were concerned was gorgeous, but I hated the writing for that segment. Those Cheech and Chong aliens? The horny robot? It's like "Galaxina".

Is it ever terrible? I always thought the Taarna segment was dull and poorly paced, and it was supposed to be the centerpiece of the film, but otherwise, you know, better than anyone should have expected it to be.
I'm biased; saw this movie three times in its theatrical run, 1981,  at three different sleazy theaters

I did not and will not do any such thing. Besides, you're  talking about "The Thing with Two Heads". The movie I mentioned teaches kids what happens when you add the head of a serial killer onto the body of a big lumbering retarded guy and set him loose on a bunch of biker chicks. It's badass.

The television commercial caused me a lot of trauma when I was a five-year old. I'd link to it here, but I'm too scared.

The 4:00 Movie on the local UHF station introduced me to "Frogs" when I was in the fifth grade. After School Special!

IT IS MAGNIFICENT. We should all be watching it right now.

Lots of nice sets and sequences, like when he's walking from one room to another in his castle, and each room is a different saturated primary color, as Greenaway did in "The Cook, the Thief…" many years later.

I didn't get much out of Leopard Man. My favorite is "I Walked with a Zombie" by far, and "Seventh Victim" is great, although it's  too fucking depressing for a Halloween marathon.

Witchfinder General is so intelligent and accomplished.  "Mark of the Devil" or "Blood on Satan's Claw" are fine period-piece witchcraft films,  but "Witchfinder" has a distinct philosophy behind it.
