Good point. I would also contend that "I Spit on your Grave" succeeds at what it sets out to do more successfully than "Last House on the Left". But obviously, "Grave" goes much, much further in pushing the boundaries, and most audiences don't want to sit through something so torturous.

I saw it at the Hollywood Cinerama as well, but a few years ago. Technically it might have been impressive for its time, but was eclipsed by the Omnimax format a long time ago. It's also kind of a corny, dated movie, isn't it?

Lupin: I revisited that recently. Unbelievable that thay make the supernatural metal guy look like just another mid-80's Sunset Strip glam-rocker dork. And all the music is by Fastway, the most "satanic" band they could come up with.

I liked that film more than I expected, especially the payoff of the "cat vs. david johansen" matchup. And yes, I think I've seen every anthology film, and I even liked "Tales from the Hood".
