looks like i need to join datingdna. i haven't found one single girl interested in talking about the goddamn lizardmen on okcupid.

loved the "jesus christ" under his breath the second time.

well it's obviously not going to be a 7" ep.

well, all i have to say is: we're the unicorns, we're more than horses, we're the unicorns, and we're people too.

it wasn't "obvious" to hitchens when every person in a position of authority (you can easily find numerous quotes from bush, cheney, ashcroft, CIA officials, yoo, etc etc) categorically stated that waterboarding is NOT torture, nor life threatening, but simply an unpleasant but effective means of "enhanced

it's all bad, just like politics in general. the joke is subsumed to the idea that you have to score points for your team, rather than just be fucking funny. i find jon stewart or al franken (yes i know he's a senator now, but i read a few of his shitty books when he was still a "comedian") to be just as much smarmy,

they were supposed to do an adaptation of the terror on amc this year, but it didn't get picked up. so bummed. sci-fi isn't my favorite genre so i had held off a long time on hyperion, it is soooooo good, read it and let me know what you think!

i haven't read anything new this year myself, but i binge read hyperion and fall of hyperion earlier this year over the course of about a week. by far the best book(s) i read this year, gotta be up there in my all time favs now too. it was so fucking good, no motivation/stamina required for me on that one.

i fucking love the traveling wilburys. mainly because they had the most amazing secret weapon in the world: roy orbison. he takes a nice, middle of the road jam session like "handle with care" and turns it into fucking magic when he comes in on the bridge. also, that empty rocking chair in the video for "end of the

….*wink*

lakeland florida! that's where i'm from. fun fact, i'm pretty sure that my 6th grade science teacher's son co-founded skunk records.

agreed. on a side note, as for the punk/political thing… my box of cassette tapes was full of "punk" music 20 years ago (i liked the fast poppy stuff, never got into hardcore: e.g. lagwagon, bad religion, operation ivy, etc., basically pretty much anything on lookout!, epitaph, or fat wreck chords), and i just can't

taylor hanson says "even i'm over 30 now. how old does that make you feel?"

totally. why did the potato salad cross the road? boogers and butts!
