yeah, and they made a big deal of the harpy statue in the new credit sequence, and was the center of attention when danaerys was sailing into the harbor too.  i could totally see that, and i think that would be a good change for tv.

i miss the staff.  i thought it was a really strong character trait for ser barristan that he wouldn't carry a sword after being removed from the kingsguard by joffrey, and would only accept one from danaerys.  really showed his humility and noble nature.

yes, absolutely with "in the flesh."  when i saw the first scene of episode 1 in the supermarket, i thought that show would be absolutely awful, but as soon as the credits ran, it flipped the whole zombie trope on its head.  i am about to watch episode 2, very interested to see where this goes…

it was an accident.  the kid didn't know merle was sniping from the building, merle probably would have gotten at least a few more good kills if he hadn't wrestled that biter through the wall at the end there.

yeah, i guess it cost a lot for that pinkie & ring-finger zombie prosthesis, so they wanted they really wanted to get their money's worth by using the exact same effect five minutes later on merle.  whatevs, totally looked cool.

yeah, it's pretty nuts what a real actor brings to the table with this show.  michael rooker was pretty damn amazing this week.  reviewer nailed it above; even though his character was kinda baffling, rooker fucking killed it whenever he had a chance to act.

yeah, still trying to figure out who is the "lily" of the show.  milton?  tyreese and/or his lady-friend?  is andrea somehow going to pull a michonne on the governor somehow next week?
