Initially I thought that SO meant "senior officer", and that it sounded like you must be part of a pretty cool military.

A hundred years Rick and Morty!

Because trying to get teenagers to vote for him would have just resulted in legions of confused Beliebers asking "who's Sara?"

Definitely go check out "Camp Refoogee", which is one of my favourite season 3 episodes.

Okay, but that's an extremely narrow (and largely false) definition of "accomplish".

I can't see you way up there on your high horse Erik!!

Rick and Morty forever! 100 episodes seasons Rick and Morty!

There's still not justification here for why the scope of your logic only extends to silicon valley and gender representation, and not to violence and other matters of importance in media.

"The first, easiest, and arguably best way to do that is via better representation in the media."

"Evil Twin Pope."

But what about the character who does the killing? They would need to be introduced and be conspicuously shown to be survive any catastrophic events that they may be involved in….

And then we in the know would be like "the original Cap was black bitches! It's CANON!".

Just give me AIM in beehive suits!!!

I'll be honest… I would love to have seen a film adaptation of Traitor. That shit was so fucked up and awesome!

I believe @williambones:disqus is referring to the quality of Martin's prose when he says "writing". Plotting is necessary for writing, but writing is not necessary for plotting (oral tradition y'all!), so the it can be helpful to analyze them seperately.

Murder is character development when the murder is drenched in theological philosophy, as the Faceless Ones' are.

Keep in mind that Valyrian steel isn't just "rare mineral steel", but is literally made with magic. So hypothetical science might not be applicable.

There are a lot of directorial choices in the show that I think play things better than the books do. Aside from having to push HBO's obsession with tits, the directors are often quite good at tamping down on Martin's vaguely excessive love of the grotesque.

Except that if you begin a review with A), then you can't comment on B). It is epistemology impossible for someone to compare something and then judge it without comparison. One needs to neglect the former observation in order to be capable of the latter.

Fridging, as the link suggests, involves the death motivating a single person. Laurel's death would affect the entire cast to a large degree. It would only become a fridging if Oliver had an outsized reaction to it compared with everyone else.
