Garza was so badass in this episode.  Having her be taken out by freelancers was a great way to up their threat level.

One shall not create a false image of Franco!

I've actually been wondering if there's something about Julian that I'm missing re:his acting, because I believe he won some sort of "side character" award for season 1.  I don't see it either.

It would fly fine with the salaryman and youth crowd, just like old Toho Studios movies did, and just like popular American movies continue.

I agree with this.  The whole "vastly superior Monsters University" line came off as incredibly snobbish to me.

I'd say the "Explicit Tribute to Japanese Monster Films and Mecha Anime" will likely get a solid boost from… Japan.

I'm not sure that I'd consider it a time waster so much as an episode that is very busy building a world for Julian to inhabit.

Continuum talk, K. Thrace and others?

@avclub-6ee934260c80f2e2f9098dcd3e44c032:disqus , Harm reduction is a big issue in Vancouver, which has a long history of drug problems (Monteith is far from an isolated incident in the city.)

Flagged for Trolling ad nauseum.

Unsettling describes how I feel perfectly.  I'm not sure why, but I'm far more unnerved by this than by other celebrity or famous deaths, and I did not watch Glee past the pilot.

He was actually open about his history of drug abuse.  It wasn't just in gossip mags; he'd talk about it when discussing his past and how he didn't want kids to look at his background (to paraphrase: "high school dropout who got high all the time") as any sort of an example.

Not only was that fantastic on its own merits, but you get extra points for using the word "embiggened".

@spinachleaf:disqus ,
Why would I lie? To make you feel better about your shortcomings? Sorry buddy, but I don't care about that.

@spinachleaf:disqus ,
You may wish to learn what the word "quote" means for the next time you try and use it in a sentence.

@avclub-ab88d8ddf1923e0c2c98c3534eef982b:disqus ,
What you're describing isn't a presumption of innocence, it's a presumption that a specific defence (self-defence claim) is valid.

Yeah that episode was very well done.  The way Katy Segal's character found out about her husband's death was incredibly realistic and sad.

It seems that there are several here, unfortunately.

Your analogy is irrelevant to the conversation.  Stop trolling for attention.
