This is a poor analogy :P

Wooo!

Duchamp - the bride laid bare by her bachelors even

The general consensus of the Primeval: New World reviews I read from Primeval-knowledgeable sources like Den of Geek  was that the show was far better by its end than it was at the beginning.  I tend to agree with this, and think it might have done better had the writers created a more focused beginning.

Season 2 of TVD was legitimately fantastic television, and Season 3 was still pretty good!

In related news, Dave Foley got himself a new sitcom up here in Canada:

I'm not a big fan of multi-camera sitcoms, and there's so few of them made in Canada that they had to import LA-based camera-people, so I'm curious how it will turn out.

Poe's Law alert!

@avclub-5a0df9912d0e408728e09ee62f8fee7c:disqus ,

In general, the people who allege the size/crime/importance of Canada is exaggerated have a poor understanding of the country. Even Canadians unfortunately (because why question a pleasant stereotype?)

That'd be great.

@avclub-f5fc0943a2d597c869afec4103a54605:disqus , I'm not sure what the criteria is for reviewing "Other Series" episodes, but I'd be curious to read your take on episode 4, "Second Skin". I found the manner in which the various plots in that episode are structured to be quite interesting.

I just realized why I can't care that there was no city-wide fallout over the bombing: I watch The Vampire Diaries.  After 4 seasons of nobody in Mystic Falls reacting to the murder of the half the town, I've become conditioned to expecting these things to be largely ignored.

@avclub-945ba977c27d196cdeaf6cbe4ff682f4:disqus , Kiera's not sure what she's biding her time for either.  Upcoming plot point.

For clarification, by "so far" are you referring just to the premiere episode?  I've found the first six episodes of this season to be far stronger than the first.

WTF.  That's a foot fetish video!

I agree that the show is far more interested in character dynamics than it is with Vancouver's larger social milieu; that probably is the reason that it doesn't terribly bother me that we didn't see much follow-up to the bombing.

Quite possibly my favourite part of this contest is how Lexa Doig posts pro-Liber8 tweets fairly often. Its cool to see actors get into their own shows.

They shot two versions of this season's Continuum finale; Showcase is holding a "propaganda" contest where the faction (either the Corporations or Liber8) that gets the most social network exposure will have something happen in their favour during the finale.

Kiera used the active camo a few times at the beginning of season one before her suit got borked.
