It's best not to dwell on these things.

Was that supposed to be a haiku, Senator Ryu? 'Cause rhythmically it is.

You should feel bad. Gherkins is 18 and adorably naive. It's like you just grifted Opie.

But Columbo wasn't its own show, right? It aired every third night as part of a mystery anthology show? So it's hard to say it was cancelled per se.

Also I have (inexplicable) hope for this House of Cards adaptation with Kevin Spacey.

I can't watch the Mr F stuff anymore. Maybe I'm just too sensitive, but it honestly offended me more than a little.

Did she even wear that fedora that much? I heard she only wore it ~once an episode.

This is becoming very Andy Zaltsmany.

I don't think anyone actually said that. Sean O'Neill just thought of it and wanted to write it, but had to add a level of self-awareness to keep us from consuming him whole.

NO DISCUSSION OF HIS BEST WORKS ARE COMPLETE WITHOUT HIS SCREENWRITING WORK ON JURASSIC PARK 3

I naturally assume all people named Todd are pedophiles.

I don't think I quite realized how much I disliked "cool" hat wearers until I heard Yahtzee talk about that fucking trilby he's always wearing.

My Star Wars-obsessed easily (and deservedly) trolled friend from college almost punched me once because I suggested exactly this. But given that he was very obese, he just fell down.

"now I didn't send 'I hate you', I just sent 'I HATE.'"

"mocks relentlessly" makes it sound witty. It's essentially more just music-based Chuck Norris jokes.

My high school senior experience in the late 2000s was everyone just as annoyingly complaining about how much they hate Twilight.

A lot of people have a more complex anger at it, like you, which is totally reasonable and with which I agree. But there is a more boilerplate knee-jerk "It's so dumb!" reaction from a lot of people - people who hate it for some ill-defined reason. The latter's annoying as hell.

Back to Aluminum Monster vs Fatty McGoo (which is what, season 3?) Dennis says "Okay, well I'm not going to take no for an answer because I just refuse to do that because I'm a winner and winners… we don't listen to words like "no" or "don't" or "stop!" Those words are just not in our vocabulary."

It sort of reminds me of his self-image being shattered in Aluminum Monster vs Fatty Magoo.

If I'm looking at a book I always first read the one-star reviews. If they're cogent I'll give a more thorough look. If the most helpful review is a poorly capped nightmare I tend to get the book.
