No, all AV Club commentors live in Chicago, where we get to see mediocre movies early and for free.
As I understand it the bottles all contain the same product.
In the sequel to Witness he's killed in a tragic buggy accident.
I'm actually convinced this is true. I bet he'd do another Indy movie, as long as the character dies. I'll be shocked if he doesn't die in this.
I first experienced "American Gods" as an audiobook, so there was no concealing that particular character's identity. IIRC, it's not a particularly big reveal in the book when Shadow does figure it out - it seems to be expected that the reader has already gotten the reference.
Is The Cosmic Vagina taken as a username on The AV Club yet?
We're talking about the OG unreliable narrator here.
Whiskey Jack is only in the latter half of the book, right? The first season of the show is only getting through about a third of the novel, so there are a few fan favourite characters that haven't been cast yet.
"C" for "Cannibalism", "G" for "Genocide," etc. The second, especially, is easily worse than war.
Just imagine the noises he'd make then!
I'm really enjoying the recurring buffalo images in this show. There was the buffalo burger at the bar, Shadow's shirt, I think a mural on a wall, etc.
I don't see how they can do Anansi Boys with Jones, though, as Mr Nancy being older is more relevant to that story than it is to American Gods. At 49 I guess it's not inconceivable that Jones could have a son in his mid-twenties, and Anansi can look however he wants, but I really think it would feel off.
I wondered this as well!
I have a feeling that Pratchett and Gaiman would be endlessly amused at the suggestion that they didn't constantly steal ideas from one another. But yeah, the "gods feed on belief" trope is a very old one, with tons of storytelling potential.
Garrett Morris is exactly how I pictured Mr Nancy, before I even knew Garrett Morris existed. Jones is doing a great job so far, though.
I'm aware.
You need to work harder to live up to your username persona.
Yeah, the guy in that picture is basically wearing exactly what I wear on a Saturday in the summer.
