It would feel like a rip-off of the young Han Solo movie, which already feels like a lazy idea. Not saying it wouldn't be good, just unnecessary.

I can't believe I'm not seeing more discussion of Sense8 here, which seems like the ultimate distillation of what makes the Wachowskis… the Wachowskis (with I guess the exception of big-budget effects).

I read the book and didn't like it. When I saw the movie, I thought it was a fantastic adaptation of a story I still don't have much interest in.

How so? I love Benoist as Kara/Supergirl but the idea that the people around her (Lena specifically, this season) don't realize that they're the same person is so implausible I have to force myself to suspend disbelief every week.

Actually I only saw it once, I might be remembering it as better than it was. I didn't see a lot of movies that year that were good, it seems like.
