As a fellow Canadian, I think if Trump becomes president I'm more likely to die slowly of secondhand embarrassment than anything else.

I like the American version a lot (with the typical caveat that the later seasons decline in quality) but it is very different from the British version. If you enjoy other Michael Schur shows like Parks and Rec and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, I think you'll like The Office.
