As a lifelong 49ers fan, who has early memories of crying all night after losing the NFC title game to Amuurrriccahh's team consecutive years, I will not be happy until the Cowboys finally go 0-16.

It's like someone earlier said, DFW is 2Pac for overeducated white people suffering from an exaggerated sense of both their emotional inferiority and intellectual superiority.  There will be more DFW rolling in for the next ten years because the amount of interest he generates is disproportionate to his actual

Have not read that one, but I would not bail on Oates completely.  Some of her stuff is really good.  Them is probably her most famous book, and its is an interesting history of the 60s in its own right.

One of the greatest books ever written.

Read Peter Ackroyd's book.  It is not the most scholarly work, but the guy has a great style, always writes lucidly, and really knows his shit.

Everything Ravaged Everything Burned, and Busy Monsters are two books everyone should read.  The latter is almost flawless, and the former only suffers from brief bouts of clumsy earnestness, but I am willing to consider that a problem of our Age, and not an authorial failing.

I would rather have Rob Zombie plagiarize
the work of a great filmmaker than see another one of his
"reinterpretations" of a perfectly good original.  And I would
prefer both scenarios to another outrage against the legacy of the Marx brothers

That Rob Zombie movie will probably be the worst piece of "art" in the history of all human endeavour.  From the producers of Paranormal Activity and Insidious comes another terrible movie.

I had the same response to Crowe's performance.  The cathartic procession that begins with I Dreamed a Dream and ends with Valjean's duel with Javert was remarkable.  I could hear everyone in the audience struggle with their breathing by the end of it.  Crowe is not a good singer, but his bulk and eyes made up for it.

We will have to disagree then.  And Greenwald is not the only one, hence the low community grade.  But go ahead, I am sure the lamestream could always use one more soldier.

Mr. Capra has been hard
at work defending the Bigelovian Faith against the forces of darkness and
incredulity.  But one has to ask, why so insistent?  Has there been
enough of a deviation, on the internet, from The One True Apostolic Faith to
justify this one man Counter Reformation?  God bless you, you old

I reprint here what I wrote on the non-spoiler part of the review.  I know that re-pasting is kind of lame, but this is the only movie that I have ever seen that I can honestly say I felt compelled to scream all over the internet "No!  In thunder…"

No, according to his article Greenwald thinks Homeland is good drama, I think it is garbage.
