I remember seeing this as a kid and just howling with laughter. Tears streaming down my face, and my stomach hurt. I don't know if I've ever laughed that hard in my life since, although I'm sure I've come close, but as a kid, that movie was crack. I think I convinced my parents to rent it TWICE on VHS (no small

Sadly, for some reason I thought Xanth were a bit, well, purer than some of the other Anthony books I read later into junior high (I read the first 15 or so Xanth books one long weekend when I was about 11 or so). This one sounds not quite as bad as "Diary of a Space Tyrant," where pirates raping woman were a main

Millar produces nihilism disguised as flash and superheroics.  Ellis produces cynicism that hides optimism and hope.

Minor nitpick, spoilers I guess, but you brought it up:

Agreed.  That was my favourite movie for so many years, and the soundtrack was a huge part of it.  I have friends who are still pissed at me (my wife included… why did she marry me?) for forcing them to watch that film over and over again.

No, it was a dream.  None of that happened.  Community is not a science-fiction show, although it does tend to skirt the line at times.

The convention episode had more heart, involved more characters, and had a better resolution that felt less tacked on.  It is objectively better.  It is also funnier.

Does anyone need a Pegasus?

GIMME BACK MY LETTERMAN JACKET!

Then they should have tried to create something new and structure a season based on those 13 episodes.  Everything this year felt like fan service, an homage, fan fiction, etc, and they tried to cram in as much meta-garbage and gimmicky stuff as they could.

I would recommend that you go back and rewatch the finale from season 3, or even season 2, hell, even season 1, and try and claim, with a straight face and any logic, that this episode is even a pimple of those respective episodes' asses.

Weird, a year where I"m more excited about the big blockbusters than the smaller films.  Kings of Summer looks promising, Much Ado About Nothing is a must-see date night movie (the wife loves Shakespeare and that's my favourite of his plays).

FALSE HOPE!!!

The finale/finales of Six Feet Under.  Having gone through five full seasons of emotional discovery with each character on this series, the fitting conclusion on a show about death and dealing with endings is to show each and every character meeting his or her own end.  Stunning sequence with a great musical montage
