Actually now I'm remembering that in the book, the fairies and relatives didn't care about him either.  He was a major asshole in the books. BUT, Sookie did state pretty early in the series that he had the kavorka because of his fairy-ness.

@olivececile:disqus I am not that fond of nudity on tv either, but I hate the HBO has SO MUCH female nudity and barely any male nudity. Maybe it's because I'm a woman and I find the recent surge in female nudity on HBO annoying at times.
