I like the opening monologues about the various "tribes"; I said as much in the original article about the movie's announcement. And the moments when it focuses on defining the various subcultures and outlining the main character's idea of anarchy, the chain of ass-kicking from rednecks on down, etc. are well-observed.

I don't think it's necessarily a case of Faris not getting a break, so much as the project not coming together when she was available for it. She already got the role, after all. And Wilson's casting definitely has nothing to do with her not being in it anymore.

Well, according to Saban and Nickelodeon, they officially counted this "literal re-airing" as the 18th season of the show. Sounds to me like they used it to create the illusion that it was a new story.
