I wish Space Ghost had set this guy straight when he had the chance.

Jim, I never claimed not to care. Please read my words more carefully! I claimed not to be frustrated. Nor do I care very much about exactly how long it has been since Obama consumed a canine.

It's not nearly that interesting. Treacher is a blogger who works for The Daily Caller. Spreading "Obama eats dogs" as a meme has been literally his job for months.

Guessing there's a lot of rock stars who fit that mold.

I don't know who did it, but one of the other things Jim's employer does is impersonate people via email. At least, that is what they did in the case of Keith Olbermann:

Jim Treacher's column at the DC Caller is called the "DC Trawler". Interesting.  The internet sense of "troll" originates from the use of the word in regards to fishing, which etymonline.com tells me dates back several hundred years, probably originating in confusion between "troll" and "trawl".

@JimTreacher:disqus No, I said it was more subtle than birtherism. Not "just like". You are good at remembering what Obama wrote a few years ago. Please be as attentive to what I wrote a few minutes ago.

Well, Mr. Treacher has a blog about this:

@JimTreacher:disqus I think the argument here is based on tense. You are using the present indicative, as if Obama's consumption of dogs is currently occuring. However, if I understand the situation, the correct tense to use would be either the the past or the past perfect, as in "Obama ate dogs" or "Obama has eaten
