No, it makes fake stuff look fake. A movie is a bunch of people in costumes, often on flimsy sets, with additional visual effects added after the filming. If a high frame rate makes that obvious, then what you are seeing is the reality.

Note that the other thing that changed about Drozd after The Soft Bulletin is that he stopped using heroin. I'm not saying that the heroin was the source of his creativity, but if he's in a better place now, I'm happy for that.

I saw them for the first time very nearly at the same time Hyden did (probably a different gig on the same tour leg). I, too, was blown away, and none of their shows since have had the same impact. I would love to see them come up with something radically new and exciting, but I imagine that's not easy at this stage…
