I dig. I just felt like we'd already seen this guy hit bottom with drink and women in Season 4. We know him well enough to recognize how he sabotages himself (heck, it happened at the end of Season 4 when he backslid and proposed to Megan). It felt like the story had to bring Don to a conclusion about himself that we

I think season 6 was all about the (slow, plodding) death of Don Draper. Especially upon rewatching it, the entire arc of the season is Don's old behaviors and patterns cropping up, to increasingly disastrous results (culminating in betraying his daughter's trust).

Shoutout to the bad-slow-mo-greenscreen shot of the dog grabbing the bird midair. Best of the series.

Remember when we had to shut down Gotham because Commissioner Gordon got his head stuck in a chair?

They're just casting everyone in this movie.

I didn't want to talk it up *too* much, since I already love Dana Gould, but yeah, as soon as they were on Manson right out of the gate, I was on board. Plus, I'd been grumbling about the yoga XOJane article all week, so it was great to hear Julie throw in her two cents.

No "How Was Your Week" in the best or the rest? HOW WILL I FORMULATE MY OWN OPINION

Yeah, I don't remember that coming across as pathetic. Is there something you'd like to talk about with us, Lux?

Yeah; it would've felt like every other "we're two members of the opposite sex who spend a lot of time together so of course we're gonna develop feelings" script of every fiction romance since the bible (citation needed)

…because he was in the scene?

I get the difference between bad and "bad." But think about how that translates to the page. Anyone who's watched even a small handful of movies for how bad they are knows there's a sliver of a difference between a truly ridiculous movie and a merely underachieving movie. They're not all Shark Tornadoes. And when

When I got out of college, I wanted to break into the film industry. While looking for internships and development jobs, I applied with a company that repped screenwriters for mockbusters and Sy-Fy original movies. After the interview, they sent me home with a script to read, review, and provide suggestions for.

Que ridiculo!

I haven't finished it, but it was a lot less grating and one-note than I found his first appearance to be. Maybe because Cambell and Carmichael were more responsive than Rob Delaney.

Less Mackle, More Organizing is what I always say.

Has anyone heard the Bret Easton Ellis Podcast yet? It's mostly up-its-own-arse movie talk, but damned if it isn't up-its-own-arse movie talk that resonates with me. He even managed to make Kevin Smith sound insightful!

If the return of Michael Jackson makes it to The Best I'ma blow out The Rest of my brains.

In the last couple of years, a a few people in my community have died, and I really related to Hannah's reaction. These were people I didn't know very well, but had worked with a few times. One or two of them were real jerks, and it felt really weird hearing everyone mourn them and extoll their virtues, when I felt

The Presidents are one of those bands I've liked since I was 8. I think they're bad, but I'm just too close to tell.
