No one was at her funeral, right, so she could not have been that popular with the family (unless I missed something).  But you have a point - I actually had a lot more investment in Callie and Bullet than I ever did Rosie.  Maybe it's because there was the chance that Callie was still alive?  I was actually sad that

Hey - she was great in that movie, regardless of its quality!  I remember seeing that in the theater on a date when I was 18 and was so excited to see Mrs. Peacock!

You can occasionally catch her in a movie on TCM and she is delightful.

I'm the same - I watched it on Nick at Nite religiously over the summer vacations and when I was allowed to stay up during the school year. I think that the humor holds up, though, because I still laugh at episodes I don't remember all that well.

Me too!  Most people say 'Latch' but I always repeat that songs a few times when I listen to this album.

Dadism?

I was surprised with this list, in that it wasn't really a typical best of list of dad rock which is usually the case around here.  'Settle' is easily one of the best of the year (THE best in my opinion - I still don't get what's so great about the Kanye album).  The last song is my favorite.

The second season of DH bored me to tears and I never went back to it.  I remember the second season of Grey's and the first season of DH being on Sunday nights and getting together with my friends and making a night of it, because they really were that engrossing.  I keep passing by them on Netflix and think 'I

My home life wasn't the best and my two best friend experienced much worse (some of which I was unfortunately present for), but I had a good friend who had the perfect cookie-cutter home life.  It was like being on a TV show when I went to her house - no one yelled, no one insulted anyone else including the siblings,

Logan, clearly.

I definitely watched Mary Tyler Moore religiously as a kid on Nick at Nite.  When I had to be home when the street lights came on but could still stay up late over the summer, Nick at Nite had some blocks of programming for each night of the week.  I remember never missing the nights of Mary Tyler Moore and I Love

I was about to say that this show taught me to never, ever have a dinner party!

I used to watch Sports Center with my dad and brother without having any interest what so ever in sports.  I liked how funny everyone was, especially Robin Roberts.

Oh come on - you prefer Dean or Logan?

@avclub-12a2f5837972bb3cc86c3216c5a660b8:disqus  is exactly right.  You get a crush on someone in high school for two reasons:  they are SUPER cute or they have the same taste in music, books, etc.

I have the same problem.  I have been casually reading original New Mutants and X-Factor, and some other stuff from the 80s.  I have no clue what is going on now.  I read some stuff in the late 90s as a teenager but would have no idea where to start now.  I am familiar with these characters so I read the comic that

100% agree on that one.

Thank god.  If I re-watch the series, I usually watch Season 4-6.  I forgot how awful and terrible Dean was until I started watched these seasons again.

Possibly my favorite moment in the entire series is Emily's take down of Shera Huntsberger.

I was really into this music when it was all coming out, but lost interest as increasingly terrible bands jumped in on it.  Every so often, though, I go back to Dummy or Maxinquaye or Blue Lines and remember while I like the good albums so much.
