Lemire and Smallwod's first MK arc was really good, but #6 was just amazing. That issue also had multiple guest artists, and Francaville's panels were especially striking. Once Mockingbird ends after next ish, this will probably be my favorite Marvel series.

Budget's tight, so they went with Dolph Lundgren.

"My Brother is so Hot" by Sue Storm-Richards

I think 20-25 boomerangings are the industry standard, but it really depends on the weather.

This is kind of cool. A bunch of indie guys formed a collective of some sort. I'm not sure exactly what it does, but I hope it works out.

If I want to read Shaft, I'll read David F. Walker's very good take on the character from Dynamite.

Spider-Man #31-#33
Generation Zero #2
Lake of Fire #2
Lady Killer #2
Saga #38
Surgeon X #1
Cap Sam #13
Cap Steve #5
Bloodshot v2
Harbinger v2

I picked up Animosity #2 a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it, but I cannot find a copy of #1 even though it's in its fourth printing. I'll pick it up on digital so no problem, but damn! They seem to have a hit on their hands, which is awesome.

I hope Orlando returns to 'Virgil'. It was underappreciated and all too brief. I'm not sure storywise how he could continue, but I'm sure he can come up with something.

…while listening to Reverend Horton Heat.

I liked this better when it was called Itchy and Scratchy Land…

Yeah, the lack of reaction was probably the most confounding aspect. I don't mind dark comedy, but this was tonally out of nowhere. It also didn't make me like the protagonist any better.

On a somewhat related note, Karen Berger is back. I'm not sure about Surgeon X yet, but it was intriguing enough to stay with it for the arc.

The only Young Animals issue I've read is Doom Patrol #1, which I thought was kind of interesting, but not well structured, weirdly paced, and confusing. Most readers I've come across seem to be giving it a pass as being 'confusing in a good way'. I'll continue with it - I don't mind confusing, but I'm not sure what

I guess YA is going to focus on weird, non-mainstream DC properties, whereas Vertigo will be for creator-owned titles.

Yep, nice deal. I picked up all six volumes of Moore's Swamp Thing and I'm considering going for Transmetropolitan and/or Morrison's Animal Man.

Wow, I'm honestly and pleasantly surprised with the critical rave. I thought Colter was a bit stiff in JJ, but I hope he's as good as Joshua says.

Likely translation: We increased the location fee. They said no.

Nothing's wrong if it works. Everything's wrong if it doesn't.

I'd never heard of Diggs and I found his performance weird and out of sync with the rest of the cast and the tone of the series. It's as if he was in a different show. It improved a bit by the end, though.
