"You have selected 'regicide.' If you know the name of the king or queen being murdered, press 'one.'"

But that's because you were apparently a kid in the 1990s. In the 1970s and early 1980s things were different. In my castle set http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/… pretty much the only special pieces were the pulley for the drawbridge. In your castle and even more in my nephew's Harry Potter sets, it would be hard to build

Biology is kind of involved here — if a guy in his 50s wants to start a family he needs to hook up with a younger woman to do so. A woman in her 50s doesn't get the equivalent advantage from a younger man. It's not fair, but this particular unfairness isn't due to the patriarchy or whatever.

I had never heard of this one, but I just watched it. Thanks for bringing it up. In some ways I like this one the best because besides the weirdness, it is a clever satire on the for-profit university idea and "disruptive" companies in general.

Exactly. What was great about "Too Many Cooks" is that everything shown plays a role down the line. But maybe they were screwing with us because they knew we'd think the bear would be relevant?

Yeah, Franklin and company really oversold Philly. But Burr lost my support when he killed Hamilton in a duel.

It's a realistic story — think "Gravity" on Mars. So no aliens.

Actually yes, a bit — and I see where you are going with its interface being similar to both Macs and Windows. The Mac part is obvious as Jobs was responsible for both (well, in a management sense anyway), but the Windows part actually goes the other way. NextStep pioneered the 3D style of buttons that were popular

I always liked the non-product placement computers that were shown "running" some fictitious operating system that was a weird fix of Mac and Windows — plus having the default font size be around 24pt.

It's fun, but Shaun of the Dead did the zombie comedy thing better, imho.

The weird thing is that I really didn't know either Ashley Angel or O-Town were actual real things until I just Googled them after this comment. I thought they were just an absurd parody of a teen idol and boy-bands. And it isn't that I'm too young to have heard of them (but might be too old and the wrong gender)

How does Scudworth even *have* a first born son? Or is it just a clone of himself?

Candy!

Of those missing only Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country is really worth seeing. V is the worst Star Trek ever (and why Shatner should never direct), Insurrection the worst of the TNG movies, and J.J. Abrams' abominations should be as "Lost" as possible.

Looking it up, it was directed by a different person, so maybe really not a followup but more of "hey, people like documentaries about old video games; I should make one". It's also an unfortunate title because two better known movies are also named "Chasing Ghosts".

Yes. And the followup movie "Chasing Ghosts" failed pretty much because there weren't really any interesting characters in the Pac-Man community. We weren't there just to see people play old arcade machines.

True. But then realistically superheroes shouldn't really be considered heroes — just maybe monsters that are better than other monsters in the same way Godzilla is often portrayed.

I love it where the mom talks about her kids being confused on their first commercial flight ("Mom, why are all these people on our plane?")

In all seriousness, The Witcher is a much bigger thing in Poland than elsewhere. There are novels, comic books, a (bad) movie, an (even worse) TV show, etc. Outside Poland the video games were moderately successful, but only that. I can see how it can be compared to Dr Who or James Bond in that it is a very successful

Not too much. Except for the final episode there isn't a lot of story arc. Abe pines over Cleo, Joan pines over Abe, and Cleo is attracted to both Abe and JFK.
