@avclub-f5fc0943a2d597c869afec4103a54605:disqus Yes, Angel doesn't count because Angel got to have a series finale. Same with Dollhouse (which would have been done after one, if not for a strong DVD grassroots, a community made entirely… of shows Summer Glau has guest starred in…)

They ARE going to resurrect Tommy and it will be in an AWESOME way

You're right. It isn't a proper alchemical curse with a CAS number and everything. More like a trope. Happy? Fuck you.

The show so improbably good it can and will withstand a Summer Glau guest arc. Bravo.

These are all good criticisms, and I also like the show a great deal. The force of this cognitive dissonance is tearing me apart. I will be a supervillain by next sweeps.

There's usually (always) intense vitriol for a Whedon show. I trace it back to January 2003, during extremely crappy runs of Buffy and Angel, and just as the evangelical Browncoats were coalescing around a "smaller" internet genre-tv community. For a while there Whedon fans were every bit as tiresome as the

Sinister piano teacher. I love this show.

Here's hoping they use Wingdings for John Noble's character.

It was the year when they probably immanentized the Eschaton

.

Party Down reunion!

Northern Lights definitely is (they showed a headline from the Post last week where a dirty bomb-or-something plot was foiled) and Decima still presumably has a lot of money but their main goal of controlling TM seems to be getting further and farther away by the day.

1. This series has so many logical spinoffs it's kinda crazy, although I think it would dilute what they've made

Like pieces of the huge server farm went to different geographical locations, and each separate server thought it was _the one_. I like it. And errors in transcription from the "human hard drive" from last season could introduce the "personality quirks." I like it a lot.

I don't know how realistic it is, but I'm also hoping these huge movie stars only ask for scale, with the understanding that they won't be asked to appear more than once or twice a season. Especially if you consider one of the main purposes of the TV show, from a business standpoint, is to advertise the movies the

I think it was just in rock that dated to 1500 years ago, ie. it blasted through the temple to an older stratum of rock.

- The "it's a magical place" thing sounds _so_ much like a post-hypnotic suggestion it might be a red herring.

krazy theory korner: The Machine now has multiple personalities, and one of them is giving this other team the SSN for someone who deserves to die and burn in hell. At any rate Root and/or Shaw would, and probably should (the next time we meet this group), fit in nicely.

I'm the same age as Bart should be, and been a fan since Tracey Ullman. At this point it doesn't matter if it's good or bad, if it's on and there's nothing better to do I'll watch. I actually liked this one, so pure gravy.

His only other regular job of note in the last 25 years (not counting Christopher Guest movies) is public radio. Besides, I think he's like the union president of Simpsons actors, that's probably really engaging work.
