I like it, somewhat. It's not terrible, at least. Even though the episode where the guy breastfed everyone in his school was just stupid.
I'm annoyed because I'm actually pretty sure they would have accepted a transwoman on 7th heaven and he's just being the kind of cynic that's not interesting at all
Yeah, I have seen it on other reviews. I personally dont think it's bad, it just…….doesn't work for me. It's like, Tina Belcher on Bob's Burgers is literally Meg, except it's hilarious there. Something about the way they do it on the show. I dont hate individual jokes (the funeral joke was great) but just how it's…
It's fine if you dont have a problem with where the show has gone, but now you're just attacking everyone who does, which is dumb.
There wasnt much people calling it misogyny, just not funny. But yeah, people do have different opinions of this one.
That is a very good point, I guess I only dont want her to die because she's probably the best character on the show personality wise. Putting up with everyone else's shit.
That has gotten me worried. Although I thought he was the showrunner for the current season as well, which seems to be fine so far (these may just be last season holdovers though but still.)
He didnt like the episode, STOP THE PRESSES!
It was great, although not amazing.
Nitpicking about continuity in modern simpsons even though it always present is just nonsense.
Who cares.
I enjoyed this episode a whole lot. A lot of gags that came together for me. The Rocky and Bullwinkle gag, Lisa tricking everyone to sign the paper and most of the visual montage. I remember a reviewer here saying the biggest strength of latter day simpsons is the visual humour, and this was very apparent for me here.
But even under a reduced budget, the writers were good enough to keep the show good. I cant imagine American Dad's writers being unable to do the same.
Tina wore the underwear for the rest of the episode.
Everything felt kinda meh tonight. Except the Simpsons, which had a lot of gags that I really loved.
Good execution vs poor execution.
I was wondering the very same thing. But it cant be, Meg is in the Simpsons' crossover, right?
I agree that the Meg bashing was overplayed but I gave it a C+ because I did like the B plot and many specific jokes. I did feel a lot of the cutaways were either too obvious to be funny or just a cutaway repeating what the character said before the cutaway.
Are you gonna go to everyone who thinks Meg bashing isnt funny and tell them "how wrong they are?" Because if so I'll just be prepared to roll my eyes in annoyance in advance. The Meg bashing quickly becomes the opposite of funny when overdone, which it usually is. And someone thinking so doesnt just mean "they just…
