However, I sometimes have a problem where I'll give up on a show a little too soon because it hasn't caught me yet, so I compensate with methods like these. Also, I'll say that I almost always do this with comedies, never serialized dramas.

Honestly, with some shows, I'd argue it's a better way to become invested in the show. I tend to rewatch shows, and there are some episodes of certain ones that really become enjoyable only after you've gotten attached.

At the end of making the Avengers, he had about a month off between projects. So he called up all these people he knew and filmed it in two weeks in his own house. Kind of a hobby project rather than a planned filmmaking endeavor.
