I love this site. I really do.  On most other sites I can think of the close-watcher/ trilobiter exchange would have very rapidly descended into "You're a moron." "No, you're a moron and evil personified too" territory.  Plus, I know I'm not going to have to wait long or go far for a dick joke.  God bless us, everyone!

Streaming is indeed the future.  It's not the immediate future, though.

My TV has built in Netflix (through Panasonic Vieracast)  and its kind of variable.  They recently did a firmware upgrade and things improved but aren't 100% perfect all the time.  "Breaking Bad" looks pretty good while "Deep Space Nine" looks like hammered shit and movies seem to vary moment by moment at times.

That seems about right.
Full Disclosure: 43 in March.

There is a transition that comes with age from "I don't know what the kids today are doing which makes me old and anxious I must seek information out" to "I don't know what the kids today are doing which makes me old but I don't give a shit."  Its a comfortable and liberating thing.

I have no idea if what this guy does is considered good by people that know dub step, but he definitely has one of the most punchable faces I've ever seen.

I pirate for two reasons.  There is a tv show in England that I like (shamefully, I will admit that it is "Coronation Street"-fuck you) that there is no other way to see in my part of the States.  If there was, I would.  The other is music—if I think I might like something I torrent it and check it out.  If I do like

Nice semantic point.  "A law that says that rule of law means nothing is a law."  Nice, concise, and absolutely meaningless.

Since you can in fact use Wikipedia after all, can you look up whether they have an entry on the concept of a "symbolic act?"

But I'm going to shut down your site for years while I make you prove it was fair use in court!

Obama already signed the Defense Authorization Bill. You no longer have to worry about such things as due process.

"this bill that will never hold up as a law"
We've just seen our government declare that the military can indefinitely detain and hold without trial or charge anyone on the say so of the President who never has to present any kind of explanation for his actions.  What makes you think the "law" means a damn thing?

I'll try that this weekend. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip.  I just assumed that the SAP was Spanish because the networks would occasionally promote that.

He is one of the better announcers and he is still insufferable.  I wish there was an option that would let you just hear the sound of the game and not have to listen to that shower of morons jabbering away incessantly. (Dan Dierdorf is the worst.  He's like listening to my dad do color commentary.)

It snowed almost an inch near Boston today, therefore global "warming" can't be true.

Even more interesting if it then causes "Dark Knight" to be reevaluated and seen as the overrated tripe it really really is.

Little Red Ridinghood has a line that I consider the best piece of advice ever offered in a piece of popular entertainment:
Do not put your faith
In a cape and a hood,

I know it was you, Comrade.  You broke my heart.
(Don't worry, nothing's going to happen to you while Ma is alive.)

This post gives me a great idea.  I'm going to start a website were someone can go and have message board fights with people that only exist in their own heads.
