Watching the second episode last week I was trying to figure out what the show reminded me of. Then I realised it felt like a mash up of L.A. Noire and Red Dead Redemption. L.A. NoiRedemption?
Also, is Dennis Quaids character direction "Harrison Ford, if he wasn't shitty now"?Either way, I'm digging the show.

Watched the first five or six episodes of this but I gave up as I got sick of EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER speaking in Gervais' voice.

watching this I got the impression it was originally intended as the second episode. All the "you'll never make it Blondie" stuff with Kristen Bells character (I'm… I wouldn't necessarily say I'm enjoying the show, but more I'm optimistically tolerating it) is very out of place. And humour wise it felt like the

Many of my friends are huge, huge Neutral Milk Hotel fans, but the vocals sincerely make me want to punch myself to death. They irritate me in ways that I cannot fathom. Deep, DEEP primal irritation. Which, for me, only serves to shine the shiniest of spotlights on just how unbelievably burrowing into the nethers of

Dig
How is Dig not on this list? Courtney Taylor came off terribly in that. I'm amazed agreed to narrate it

Awfsome… Awesful..

hrm
I love this show, but did anyone else feel this episode was a little off production wise. There were tons of moments where characters looked quite off model, or just slightly shittily drawn. Brock in particular… and the brief Hank and Dean appearance…. get the feeling perhaps production was a little rushed, but it

What you said. I too am baffled by all the dislike this show is getting hurled its way. I like the fact the show hasn't spent forever explaining where Jonathan and Georges relationship stems from etc, or even gotten too in depth on Jonathans job etc. To me it seems like the show is more about the relationships between

Failme Guy

What was with a whole bunch of season premieres having out-of-the-ordinary animation sequences? Family Guy, American Dad and House… has the recession made struggling-to-survive animation houses rates bargain basement? Can't wait to see the wacky yet unnecessary Charlie as Van Gogh hallucination on It's Always Sunny

It's true. I'm a fan of Louis but I didn't feel he brought that much to the episode, besides the confession at the end. It was cool to see him, and he didn't suck, but he sure as shit didn't "make" the episode

Have to agree! I missed most of the next scene I was laughing so hard. Did not see that coming at all. All three NBC shows were excellent tonight. AND it's always sunny. I feel spoilt

I really liked the way he picked up the glass after Jeff bailed on writing. They set up his arthritis, or similar old man crappy-hands syndrome, in the pilot with his tong/hotdog trouble (halfassedly hiding it under the bread was one of my favourite jokes that ep). It was a nice and pretty subtle touch.

Was I the only one
who was expecting him to hallucinate Amber on the bus again at the very end? I'm disappointed they didn't keep House in the hospital for at least a couple of episodes more…. it was looking like it could be a compelling season, but I get the feeling it's going to go back to spinning its wheels like

There were times the show felt like it was hitting a little too close too home, character-wise. But that's my fault, not the shows… I'll keep watching just so I can feel mildly ashamed of myself. But in the pilot, Ames exchange with the kidnapper through the door and Zacks "In my diary" line were enough to keep me

blurst
When did we start expecting shows to be Arrested Development from the first episode? Personally I enjoyed the pilot (and episode two is definitely a step up), but nine times out of ten it takes a show a while to find its feet. Hell, Parks and Recreation took 5 and a half episodes to kinda get things on track,

great jerb
I saw District 9 yesterday and I gotta say, I was really really impressed with his performance. That it is effectively his debut is even more impressive. I loved the film too. Greatest sci-fi film I've seen in years. The depth of vision reminded me of Blade Runner at times, while looking nothing like it.

First time round, and on a recent re-watch, I got a really creepy vibe from Steve during that scene leading up to Williams death. Was anyone else getting a pedo child-snatcher vibe? On the first time round I thought perhaps I'd just been misinterpreting the sense of dread, but on second viewing, Steve still seemed

The shot of him standing beneath the antlers holding up his own is, for some reason, one of the images that really stuck with me. I'm not even sure why, but it was definitely one of my favourite moments in the series.
