@avclub-6f2918fcd0f193a9e0dcc0337775b148:disqus, I'm not saying that I don't believe @avclub-7cadd1624259398eeed1b26bc07db7b5:disqus because the trailer looks so great; it's just that there are enough interesting visuals in the trailer for me to find it intriguing.  But sure, I fully accept that it may just suck.

Did my comment get deleted?  What's the deal?

I will say this:  if you're right and Banshee (or at least the first 2 episodes) is a muddled mess, then whoever cut the trailer for the series is a genius, because it looks great.  Give that man (or woman) a raise, Hollywood.

How the hell did you beat me to the punch?

When you're older, that sort of thing will make perfect sense to you.  It'll still be ridiculous, mind you, but you'll catch yourself doing it and then you'll die a little bit inside.

To be fair, we’re largely anticipating ABC’s new drama Zero Hour as a prime example of TV so bad that it becomes sort of endearing . . . .  It’s from Paul Scheuring, the man behind Prison Break, so there’s every expectation that this might be epically dumb TV.

@avclub-35dfb7a1964297d947da0d21ada39438:disqus — some parts of the Pod F. Tompkast are definitely better than others.  The riffing at the start is definitely a bit self-indulgent.  But I listen to every episode, because the Largo bits are funny and the talks with Kirkman and company can be pretty funny.

@avclub-35dfb7a1964297d947da0d21ada39438:disqus — I'll take your word for it.  I thought about listening to some of their songs on YouTube, but I didn't even want to give those guys a fraction of a cent with my clickthrough.

I did that once.  I called up the show, pre-cleared my topic with Mike, and then Tom bluntly (but not rudely) said he didn't want to discuss it.  And in retrospect, Tom was right.

Sadly, I agree.  And as much as I like both of them, Tom's coy references to the falling-out are kind of bugging me.  He's made it absolutely clear by talking about "the comedian that will not be named" that PFT is persona non grata as far as he's concerned.

That kid … I'm convinced there's something wrong with him which shows itself in a pathological need for attention.  So when he's given 2 minutes to explain his left-wing beliefs to an audience of tens of thousands of people, he can't help but plug his damn albums.

What?  The one with him, Morgan Murphy, and Matt Braunger was great, especially when they were discussing Taken and Liam Neeson's propensity to kill random strangers because he's in too much of a rush.
