Really? Not Anton? Where's the motive for Quinn to do it?

"I was going to mention "Four Room", but the only good segment was the last one, and the only good part of that segment was the last three seconds."

"Or Barney Frank's Utopia! "

I have a soft spot for movies, TV shows, stories, etc. where it's all just one long setup to a final scene or revelation — I even liked the Tarantino segment of Four Rooms, to give you an idea of how far it goes with me. And although most of Blair Witch just bored me, that final image still freaks me out. The entire

You know, I'd like to be able to contribute to the Ring vs. Ringu debate, but there's no way I'm watching that movie given how much The Ring scared the shit out of me. So I'll just assume that what you two are saying is true.

It was a pretty good flick. Just imagine how awful it would have been if they hadn't gotten rid of that subplot with the crazy woman running around.

Absolutely, and the movie does still creep me out whenever I think about it, but don't you think it'd be scarier if they cut the scene short the moment she *starts* to crawl out of the TV?

Dammit, I always forget to put a space after the URL. You have to erase the ) and the , to get the pdf.

The Ring, up until that scene
I won't post a spoiler, but the movie would have been much scarier had they edited out about 30 seconds of footage.

Robert Boyczuk's Gaytown
From his collection Horror Story and Other Horror Stories (free pdf at http://www.chizine.com/chiz…, it's unnerving because you can't really tell what it's a metaphor for, and why exactly one of the main characters gets killed. Okay, that makes it sound shitty, but it's actually pretty good,

Oh, if you follow the link in the above post, you have to get rid of the last period first.

Sorry for the delay in responding, Hideously Useless. I am not a chemist, but I did process engineering as part of my last job. Etchants with HF-based chemistries are in fairly common use, because you want to remove oxides without affecting metals, and these sorts of etchants are good for that sort of thing.

Aaaaand I now see prophet beat me to it with the prediction. Great minds and all that.

As I said above, I don't have much credibility left in determining plot developments, but I don't think it's obvious that Trinity killed Lundy. The facts of the shootings could point to Anton: he wounds Deb but kills Lundy. He wanted Lundy out of the way, perhaps wanted Deb punished but not killed. And maybe he

Well, I'm 0 for 2
Let's see, I predicted that Lundy knew back in Season 2 that Dexter was the Bay Harbor Butcher and that Angel and LaGuerta would be caught with the old "which tire went flat?" trick. Both of those predictions appear to be wrong (although it's possible that there could a revelation that Lundy knew,

Oh, I just read Tristiac's comment. Yes, you need to use a teflon-type plastic container if you're using HF.

"Isn't hydrofluoric acid sort of legendarily good a dissolving bones? That shit's dangerous. "

I've seen all 5 (haven't seen 6 yet). I would rank them (from best to worst): Saw 2, Saw 1, Saw 3, Saw 5, Saw 4. There's a problem with just that ranking, though. The quality dropoff from Saw 1 to Saw 3 is pretty big, and the dropoff from Saw 3 to Saw 5 and Saw 4 is even bigger.

"That was sort of lame. I can't remember if they worship cows or pigs in India. I have a choice of fish, beef, pork, lamb, or chicken. Also, I am not actually required to use meat at all. I think I'll use pork."

"He also won on basis of his team not going asshole on him."
