Sedaris has admitted that he's embellished many of his family and personal stories. As long as he brings the funny, i don't care.

I agree with what you wrote, except that many were *verified* anecdotes and experiences of other that he incorporated in service of telling a "higher truth." The ends justifying the means.
Zach and Flo had Zach, who seemed like an amazing guy who made an unfortunate in his female companion. Flo wasn't nearly as vile as a person and rarely was abusive to people other than Zach. She was just unusually ill-suited for The Amazing Race. Outside of the context of TAR or other stressful situations, i could…
Mad King Ludwig of Bavaria was a fascinating crazy person.
I didn't think it was especially tense, which why i was shocked. It was the same fake tense editing that they always do.
Sometimes they don't have much post-leg interview footage from the eliminated team because they're too upset, spoiling the result. I assumed that was what happened.
For me, that was in the Top 5% most surprising endings of all time. I was certain that the cousins were going to come in 7th, because nothing previously had indicated that the journey to the farm was difficult. Yes, they showed the cousins getting directions and yelling. However, without showing Nary & Jamie…
This week's Bullseye (née The Sound of Young America) interview with Baratunde
Thurston really good. As many of you know, Baratunde is an
African American Harvard graduate and former consultant who does various
comedy things (The Onion, stand-up comedy, lectures, author of "How to Be Black").
Rob and Brennan (S1 winners) were not in a romantic relationship, even though they'd make for a very pretty couple.
Flo was pretty whiny throughout the race, but it was only after Killer Fatigue set in (i.e., in Vietnam with the basket boats and bicycles)

had the saint-like Zach with her and was occasionally pleasant.
Unfortunately, I think it was Vanessa who did the Kit from Knight Rider joke.
I found the cue card reading more distracting here than when Lohan was on. In the final sketch, Hill wasn't looking at Wiig at all, even when she was doing the talking. The cards were located such that Hill was facing at a 45° angle to her eyes. I don't know if the blocking was off, exacerbating how the card…
The staring at the camera/crowd incredulously was very Armiseni, which was gave it away for me.
To be fair, Simmons has been sitting on that question since 2008 when ESPN forced him to cancel after he managed to book Obama for his podcast back then.
Texas already has a much worse sonogram bill that passed and got approved by the Appellate Court. In TX:
And here's last Friday's. The contraception, women's health stuff comes in at the 8:20 mark:
I enjoyed this well enough, but it's not as great as the last couple weeks of The Bugle podcast with John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman. It's the funniest podcast out there and they did this story justice.
Metallica was a gateway for me, too. My guess is that Budgie's "Breadfan" remains my favorite song from the genre:
I haven't listened to the Stuff You Should Know, yet, but The Long Now Foundation is a great organization. Aside from their 10,000 Year Clock, they also have the Rosetta Project in which they're trying to preserve all of the world's languages for millennia to come, both digitally and microetched on nickel disk.
I loved Katie Crown on Stop Podcasting Yourself, which was the consensus on the MaxFun forums and on their Facebook page. I found her exceedingly charming. I can see the argument that the show was more for their own entertainment than the audience at home, but for a certain class of listener, that can be a good…
