I liked that they have finally taken Rick's character back to tolerable levels, but God help us if we have to sit through another incarnation of the "Can you do what it takes to survive and still be a good person?" story line.

Was anyone really hoping for a detailed explanation of how the prison garden got started? Because, if so, they would have given this episode an A+. I was always hoping they'd resolve the mystery that pressing plot thread.

Do people really not like this episode? By this show's standards, it was pretty good, no?

For years, TWD has held the mantle of "Worst Show that I Watch Regularly" and it hasn't budged. There are just barely enough horrible mistakes and flawed character moments to make it frustrating, but not enough to turn it off altogether. It is easily the show that I would sacrifice if I had to.

-Wherein we learn that firing a few rounds into one foot thick, reinforced concrete can cause a collapse.

My first thought upon seeing that message from Maggie on the wall of the tunnel was, "Damn, you couldn't have rustled up a little more zombie guts to write, 'P.S. Go around it'?"

I believe one of them already "claimed" Michonne in that house upon discovering laundered women's clothing.

It was a tricky, gray area.

But he'll fart as he dies, so it's cool.

"Does anybody else hate fiat as much as I do? It's just a matter of time until Bitcoin surpasses fiat and becomes the world's currency! Down with worthless paper money!"

It seems to me that Jerry is, in fact, bothered by this, though. Who wouldn't be?

Thanks for bringing up that episode. I had forgotten about it, but now that you mention it, that was a really great counterpoint to tonight's episode.

I think this episode crossed a line that had been previously established. There's a subtle, but important, difference between "Ha ha, Jerry is a doofus and he did something klutzy again," and "Jerry is a worthless human being whose existence is beneath contempt."

An inherently worthless asset being driven by crazed speculation and very little increase in adoption? Sign me up! What could go wrong?

The central problem, from my experience, is that the fundamental nature of Bitcoin was always going to turn it into a "greater fool" scam. A few diehards loaded up with thousands of them when they were cheap and ridiculously easy to acquire, so what do they care at this point? Every Bitcoin acolyte is just looking

This was the first episode where it seemed like he really wasn't okay with it, though. He gets instinctively defensive over Ben asking about his family because he assumes it's just the setup to another joke at his expense. It's coming off as abused puppy syndrome now.

I can definitely get on board with this new angle for her character. They've toned down the "hard-hitting reporter out to foil Knope" thing (I guess they have enough of those already) and just turned her into a… "project", as Leslie would say.

I posted up-thread that I hope this pays off with Ben formally reprimanding some of his friends for their behavior. If this were anything even approaching a real world scenario, Jerry would have probably been driven to depression by now and would likely retain a lawyer who would take them to the cleaners.

I totally disagree. That final scene was completely unnecessary. I just don't think it worked at all with the tone of the show.

All around, this was another fairly strong episode, following a strong episode last week. That's nice to see.
