I couldn't help but think John Wick could have been so much better. I enjoyed it, but man the action sequences started to get repetitive. There were also so many really great conceptual idea and world-building details that tantalized, but got left on the table or ignored.

Crank 2 was fun but I think a completely different kind of movie. They turned everything up to 11 and while it was gonzo batshit entertaining, it was way over the top.
