I can't speak to their VMA performance, but Muse is actually a pretty terrific band.

I think I'm in agreement with Tasha that I couldn't ever pick ONE title to recommend to any and everyone. Sure, I think there's books that nearly everyone could enjoy, but that might not be the recommendation I'd make to get them hooked.

Go Ninja
Late one night playing CoD4, someone started singing/chanting "Go Ninja Go Ninja Go" over and over. It went from amusing to hillarious to tedious to intolerable over the course of about three minutes.

Yummsh - I highly recommend Batali's Vegas restaurant, B&B Ristorante. Some friends and I do a yearly 'gourmet weekend' trip and we've hit a number of the 'big name' chef's places; B&B has been my hands-down favorite to date.
