I would like to know what bars you frequent.

It only annoys me when I venture outside of my TV comfort zone and run across him on some shitty cooking competition show. When he's eating street food in Vietnam or whatever, he's great.

"To deliver high-fives…."

The "I think I'm actually really smart, but I am going to talk to you like you're dumb in case you are dumb" voice.

I always pretend to myself that he is saying "use a mail chimp," and believes that it is an actual chimpanzee that sends out mail.

It *should* have been about how bewildering the evidence can be, but it wasn't. It ended up being more about he-said she-said and a bit of murder.

I'm stranded far from home! Oh, wait, are we talking sports here?

Either Adnan's guilty or he's not. If he's not, there's a good chance it was Jay. Somebody's lying and probably covering something up, and no matter which one it is that is doing it, it wouldn't be a big surprise. The show's been going nowhere for a while now.

The problem for Manic Street Preachers in the US when they first started out was that they had this sort of glammy punk revival thing going on just as Madchester and grunge were starting to hit. Mainstream radio in the States would never touch it in the first place, and the alternative stations that gave the Cure and

But wouldn't you say that the interviews are generally pretty political as well?

I always thought somebody should do a hardcore cover of that and start by saying,"Here's a song U2 stole from Charles Manson. Now we're stealing it back!"

Well one thing I can say is, though it's annoying that Doolittle gets all the attention now, it is nice to see In Utero getting re-evaluated these days.

That one sucks too. Doolittle has two crappy novelty songs on it, but somehow it still gets more love than the rather excellent Surfer Rosa. I don't get it.

The name of this band is Pixies.

The fuck? What's wrong with Swans?

I mean, it's more of an EP stretched out with some sonic experiments and "ambient" stuff. I think the production and the substance are great and it's one of my favorites of the year, too—I just thought maybe this is the reason it doesn't seem to be getting much love here.

It is a bit thin though, even for punk.

True. I hope it does branch out more as it establishes itself with the case, and I'll hang in there for a few more episodes at least.

Here's what I don't get about this podcast: What is at stake in it outside of this particular case? So, either Adnan is lying or the other informant guy is. Would either of these outcomes really be that surprising? Especially after what the Innocence Project people have said about the rarity of the charming sociopath?
