I think Naked is a fine album, Facts Of Life and Blind being my favourite tracks on there and among the best stuff they ever did. Speaking of Stop Making Sense, I picked up a cassette* copy of Maze featuring Frankie Beverly Live In Los Angeles and that album and their Live In New Orleans set both stand beside the

I remember seeing Henry Rollins doing his spoken word thing in Islington in around 88 and anyone who wanted to record the show he would just clip their little walkman or dictaphone microphones to the top of his mic chord so that everybody would get a nice clear recording. I had a terrible cold that night and you can

Rest in peace to Jackie Collins who provided me with many an early adolescent erection. I worked in the bookshop that my parent's ran for a couple of years when I was maybe 11-13 and would spend a lot of my time nervously scanning the sexy pages of various paperbacks when nobody was about. While Judith Krantz and

Not so much lampshading as chandeliering; When everybody used to go wobbly when they had a flashback in The Young Ones (a good example being the graveside scene in Nasty), The closing freeze frame at the end of each episode of Police Squad and Team America's montage song. To be honest I've never heard of lampshading
