The B+ is for butts. Lots of them.

I'd be surprised if we had more torture with him. That has to be the apex of it.

There wasn't enough food to be a true GRRM masterpiece.

…. really?

Which is weird because it didn't take him six years to write it.

I wonder who did it. It was the best-directed scene in the episode.

I felt bad for the bear the entire scene. It's oliphaunts all over again!

They don't HAVE to, but it makes sense with the story for them to sail through Gendry's hometown, especially since he was still completely oblivious to his parentage.

Tyrion will take out Tywin in episode nine, probably at or near the end of it. He'll get stuffed into a ship with a bunch of wine and his sorrow in episode 10.

They won't have the Purple Wedding until next season. You have to introduce the Martells, hold Tyrion's wedding, etc. It will be the early season climax, like Dany's burning of the slavers was this year. You don't do Red Wedding and then spend the Purple one while viewers are still dumbstruck.

That was the most satisfying beat of the entire episode.

Now, Now.

Yes, sweet child.

I find the scenes to be uniformly uncomfortable, but they're supposed to be. This one was especially nasty, but we have to remember what's going to happen next year. We have Joffrey, an unredeemable villain, but (Season 4/Book 3 SPOILER) after the Purple Wedding, who is our new infinite pit of evil?

There was much laughter in the FlimFlam household when Margaery said, "Yes, sweet child."

He does look like a skinny Val Kilmer.

Chloe Moretz must have interesting (or no) parents. I base this assumption on her entire oeuvre, not just this role. Though this certainly doesn't help.

I liked the weird riffing about talking lobsters and the like on The Bugle. Week to week it'd probably get old, but as a kind of one-off thing, it was just so weird that I couldn't help but like it.

1 - Remedial Chaos Theory - Layered and beautiful and kind of sad at the conclusion.
2 - Advanced Dungeons & Dragons - The eagle that calls at each death.
3 - Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking - I just wanted a picture. You can't disappoint a picture.
4 - Epidemiology - No one is special.
5 - Regional Holiday Music -

I think AD&D and Remedial Chaos both touch on the underlying darkness the show had with harmon at the helm.
