it's not just the performance, it's his attitude in interviews in general. i realize i'm in a minority. i have a difficult time separating the artist as a person from the music, and i've probably missed out on a lot of good music this way.

i like adam green and frank zappa and all that, but the difference is they seem to genuinely care about their art, and are passionate about it.

dude, you shouldn't hate college that much. i got really depressed my senior year because it got monotonous, but man, if you're dreading it that much during the summer, you should try to transfer. not being a dick or anything, but school should be so much better for you. the place can make a big difference
