having just watched it again, i think you were being a little persnickety. sure there's maybe like, one time where his hand placement on his chin doesn't line up, but his legs uncross in the perspective shots before going to the wide shots again.

nah, it's still great. c'mon, the parker posey two-parter and the melissa leo episode? those were terrific. it's a wildly inconsistent show. last season had "duckling", but it also had "pregnant". it's all good, though, just not always transcendental.
