I won't say that it's scary, but this season they've built up a pretty palpable sense of dread (episode to episode, not as a whole - which is too bad, because the asylum could be a great, scary "character"). I don't find it conventionally scary, but it can rack your nerves.

In all honesty, I was pretty shocked by the reveal. In retrospect, it's not a big stretch, but I didn't see it coming.
