They're side plots but not main plots.

I don't think anyone was as relieved to have a Zekeless episode as Zeke, the poor guy was probably expecting Sam to trip and do a header down a stairwell and require another repair job.
I get what you're saying, but Shane, Dale, Andrea, Merle, Lori, T-Dog, and maybe Carol (not dead but possibly gone).
So there goes another chunk of Woodburyites.
They need a Big Bad.
I think the rest of the season should just be Zeke getting more and more frustrated and pissed off as the Winchesters and close allies continue to incur fatal injuries requiring divine resuscitation.
Some of them are vegans
But it wasn't really fun. It was the same that happened with the Golum episode last season, it had all the trappings of one of the fun & funny Supernatural episodes but it was just off for some reason.
I've seen that Windows 8 screen come up in a few shows and it's a uniformly horrible experience every time.
Daryl can't be racist!
True though on a practical note I think the walker/human ration is bad enough that you're never going to wipe them all out or even make an appreciable dent. They played the unkilled walker card once in s2 when Carl couldn't pull the trigger and walker eventually got Dale, I've been wondering if they'll do it again.
Four significant characters many miles from home running from a zombie horde while one of them has a mental breakdown.
Herschel's philosophy is about trying to find peaceful solutions and maintain his humanity. He left the two zombies alive because they weren't a threat, I think this is the same reason Rick left the crazy woman and her "husband" alive in the first episode.
How many S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and allies died when they were exposed by Manning? How many mutants joined up with Magneto because he released the Xavier Protocols?
SHIELD apparently told the mutant lately known as Scorch he wasn't allowed to use his powers, and they kept him under surveillance.
Death doesn't have a stake in the outcome, he mostly just observes and reaps. He got involved when it came to Lucifer only because Lucifer made him involved.
Anyone notice that Cas is the only angel who's super awkward around humans? Even the clueless girl fresh out of heaven from ep 1 fit in better than him. After millenia of human watching and several years with the Winchesters he should be a little more with it.
Why shouldn't Death be interested in the Winchesters? They've arguably been the most important humans in existence (multiple apocalypses and all).
Hey it's really serious! Before the prison had an uncertainly big group of people. But now they've lost an uncertainly small group of people! That may or may not make an appreciable dent in their total group size!
The Walking Dead is quickly joining cementing it's place among the great sitcoms. Poor Patrick, such an awkward clutz as a human, will zombie Patrick do any better? Nope! He gets agonizingly close to Tyreese's girlfriend then wastes most of the night snacking on an extra. Oops! Still it seems a shame to loose him so…
