I like the 'No Aliens' statement. Its been done. After Star Wars and Star Trek gave us boat loads of some times poorly done aliens, its nice to see a show not follow the standard line. Its like writing fantasy and decliring  'No Wizards'. I think its very freeing.

I watched Koyaanisqatsi and The Station Agent. Enjoyed both. The Station Agent has the most relaxed pace I ever seen. Also read a book about bees and wasps. Not really pop culture, more science nerd.
