Star Trek had a box with aliens. If some one looked with out the special glasses they would go crazy. It also made for a really cheap effect. All they needed was a box with a light in it. Probably cost less then a set of Spock's ears.

Prospero's Books- Gielgud and Lots of naked people. The Tempest is a weird one. The only time Shakespeare didn't steal the plot from some one. "Now I break my magic staff" does come across as Shakespeare saying good bye to the magic of the theater.
