It was a really nice Pullman and a boxcar for all the gadgets.
Jim West always got captured so the bad guy could explain how he was going to take over the world. Its easier on the writes that way.
I liked the black and white freeze frames that were added during the course of the show.

Try Roanoke, Va. They were going to film a show called "Lets set around a talk about things not getting done". No one's got around to it yet.

I enjoyed the Cowboy Bebop movie, but the series is much more fun. Howls Moving Castle mixes wizards and steampunk in interesting ways. Has anyone seen Steamboy? I liked it, the art is great, but it was promoted as the new movie by the director of Akira. In that light its kinda flat.

In an interview Newman said the cars, they used 5, had 440s that were crazy powerful.
I rebuilt a couple of 440s back in my mechanicing days. They were a huge chunk of American iron.

Yes, It was called Hilalo, they used horses instead of cars.
haha.
There was a remake with Viggo. It was a Fox TV movie. Not good.

So now we know what happens to Magic Pixie Dream Girls when they grow up. They go crazy for awhile and live in an ally, then they move to a small town in the Rockies. Interesting, good to keep in mind next time I see a MPDG.

I've heard he found a Death that he liked, but I don't know who.

Led Zeppelin borrowed from LotR, Hendrix was inspired by Stranger in a Strange Land. Vivaldi adapted Shakespeare to opera. But yeah, it usually doesn't work.

I like Franz, he led Austrian through same difficult times.

One reason to make a 100 bullets movie is all the huge, bouncing boobies.

Man Eating Cow! I want a moving about a cow that eats bad guys. Hollywood, get on the stick.

The whole Mice and cats thing worked in the comic. But it would look really weird in a movie. Are you going to have live actors and cover them with graphics? Or are you going to go with animation? Why? We already have the book.
There is no reason reason to make a Maus movie, except to make a lot of money,
from the…

The show didn't have money from dress uniforms. They ran a sweat shop and slipped the uniforms in passed the union wardrobe department to save some money.
We talk about the cheesy sets, but its amazing what they did with very little money.

"An iron curtain has fallen across space."
This show is from the middle of the cold war so a fortified DMZ in space is not surprising.

When Rolling Stone said that REM was the best rock-n-roll band in America the REM guys said "No, Pylon is the best band in America."
When other bands were trying to save the world or be rock gods, Pylon were a bunch of kids having fun goofing with cord progressions.

Black Bolt strikes for the third time today! Its a sign I tell you! The apocalypse is nigh!

Long ago some friends and I were talking about the Dead. We liked them OK, but we wondered what happened to Pigpen. Did he OD or what? So one of my friends says "My girlfriend's a deadhead, I'll ask her." So he ask her "What happen to Pigpen?"
And she says "I think he's dead."

Back in the fifties there was a Genghis Kahn movie staring John Wayne. I don't know if it cleaved closely to historic facts. I'm guessing… no.

"You got Mr Goodbar in my Mounds."

Well said Mad. I'm old as dirt and love the music, but I will not suck a dick just because it has Beatles tattooed on it.
